People in art and cultural fields are ignoring the agitation by nurses fighting for a decent wage, filmmaker Santhosh Pandit has said.
He was addressing the nurses who have been on an agitation for the past 13 days demanding wage revision here on Saturday.
“All are after the issue of abduction of an actor and the related controversies. They fail to see the problems in society beyond that issue. Nurses are with a person from his birth to death.
“Hospital managements should be ready to pay a decent wage for them to make a dignified life,” he said.
Society should take up the agitation of the nurses, Pandit added.
